Studio vs. Outdoor Pet Photos: Which Is Right for Your Pet?

This is one of the first questions we ask during every planning consultation, and the answer usually says more about your pet's temperament than it does about which photos look better.

When Studio Makes Sense

• Pets who get overstimulated by new sounds, smells, or unpredictable environments
• Sessions happening in Chicago winter or peak summer heat
• Multi-pet sessions where a controlled space makes managing everyone easier
• Very young puppies or pets not yet comfortable on leash in public

Our private studio is located at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston.

When Outdoor Makes Sense

• Pets who are more relaxed in open, familiar spaces than indoors
• Golden hour light, which is hard to fully replicate in studio
• Sessions that include a favorite park, beach, or neighborhood that means something to you
