Frequently Asked Questions

Everything pet parents ask before booking a session in Chicago.

How much does a session cost?Sessions start at $395, which includes a planning consultation, the session itself, a $250 credit toward fine art prints, and digital files delivered within 48 hours. See the full pricing page for details.
How long does a session take? Most sessions run 45–60 minutes, though this flexes around your pet's energy and comfort — we never rush to hit a shot list.
What if my pet is anxious or doesn't like strangers? That's most of what we do. Jennifer creates a calm, patient environment and lets your pet set the pace, whether that's in the private studio or somewhere familiar to them.
Do you shoot in the studio or on location? Both. The private studio in Evanston is ideal for cats, small pets, and anxious animals. Outdoor sessions across Chicago and the North Shore work well for dogs who are happiest at the park or the lakefront.
How quickly will I receive my photos?Retouched digital files are delivered within 48 hours of your session.
What if I don't love my photos? We reshoot. Satisfaction is guaranteed on every session.
Can I be in the photos with my pet?Absolutely — see Pet and Owner Photography for sessions built around both of you.
Do you photograph multiple pets in one session?Yes. Multi-pet sessions are common — just mention how many pets, and any personality quirks, when you reach out so we can plan accordingly.
What areas do you serve? The studio is in Evanston, and on-location sessions cover Chicago and the North Shore.
Do you offer prints, or just digital files? Both — every session includes a $250 credit toward fine art prints, canvases, or albums. See Pet Portrait Photography for more on the fine art side.
How do I book?Get in touch by phone or email and Jennifer will help you find a date and figure out the right session type.
